So Rico, the bat eared, boggle eyed, bandy legged, button nosed old beast!!

He was a rescue boy - smooth coated chihuahua from the Dogs Trust aged 2. Everyone said don't get a dog - they will tie you down. Well we are so glad we did despite everything. 

Now aged 11 and a half, Tuesday 13 June 2023 at 5.30 we had to have him put to sleep because of multiple medical issues. Nothing more the vet could do.

To mum Nick & Dad Richard , he was just the best pup. He always made us smile. The focus of our world. Memories of many holidays with him in the UK - and Europe. A much travelled boy. 

He loved his friend Anna. He loved cuddles, walking round the bluebell woods, chicken jerky snacks and his toys Charlie & Mr Fox.

He hated dog food. 

He could be a feisty little devil !  

He had all sorts of medical issues from 2020 - an unknown cause - perhaps a different vaccination or infection - gave him pancreatitis leading to IMPA. He had to have long term steroid treatment that eventually led to liver, brain & other issues. He was such a brave boy.

We loved him.

His loss has created such such a big hole in our lives. We feel guilt at putting him to sleep but we could not let him suffer.

Rico - we will miss your love, cuddles , walks and you will be forever in our hearts. We love you little bear - we are so sorry- ah boo & RIP. XXXXXXXXXXX  Rico 30 11 11 - 13 6 23
